Assessing the Program Minha Casa Minha Vida in the State of Pará

The State of Pará has the highest incidence of precarious setllements, especially in the metropolitan region of Belém and municipalities located in the southeastern state. Thus, under the coordination of Professor José Júlio Lima, the project attempted to analyze this problem from the viewpoint of Minha Casa Minha Vida Programme(PMCMV). The research project entitled “Avaliação da produçãoimobiliária de interesse social no âmbito do ProgramaMinha Casa Minha Vida”  was held from 2012 to 2014 and focused on the discussion of social interest involving the housing issue. It was approached in the perspective of the urban network in the most affected municipalities. The evaluation considered for the two programs was in conformity to the methodologies proposed by a national research group network focusing on the PMCMV, addressing possible progress and limitations of such programs in terms of housing and habitation for the population.
